This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. - George Bernard Shaw from Man and Superman

The Electoral College and the World Series vs the Superbowl....

dear Millenials, Children, libs, and progs. Here is how presidential elections work. They are not like the Superbowl - one game and done. What they are like is the World Series - instead of best of 7 games, it is best of 51 (50 states and DC). It doesn't matter at all if team D runs up the score in 2 games (NY, California), but rather it matters who wins the most games (or states, to carry the analogy forward). The popular Vote is really like just adding up the total number of scores across the series, and while interesting in the abstract, doesn't change the outcome of who wins the series. Now, go take a civics class, understand how government actually works, and quit crying like your "feelings" matter to anyone but you.....
